Douglas Gjerde于2002年在加利福尼亞州的圣何塞市建立了PhyNexus公司，以調(diào)查蛋白質(zhì)樣品制備的需求。專欄和機(jī)器人被開發(fā)小型化和自動化過程，當(dāng)保留蛋白質(zhì)的自然狀態(tài)時。2005年，引進(jìn)了一整列的專欄和機(jī)器人。在接下來的幾年中，柱子被修改為與所有主要的機(jī)器人液體處理器兼容。定期提供超過20種色譜柱的化學(xué)品，提供超過100種定制包裝的產(chǎn)品。從2016年開始，引入了試劑盒和儀器，大大增加了瞬時轉(zhuǎn)染質(zhì)粒的可用性。PhyNexus客戶是制藥公司和學(xué)術(shù)界的生命科學(xué)家。
